A Heartfelt Thanks to the Loveland Fire Department for Their Community Support
Jerry Kelly
At Boyd Lake Shore Park, the American flag has always flown proudly, a symbol of our nation's values and the unity of our community. However, after a recent storm, our beloved flagpole suffered significant damage, leaving us unable to raise the flag without assistance. The damage was too severe for us to handle alone, and we knew we needed help to restore this important symbol to its rightful place.
That's when our friends at the Loveland Fire Department stepped in. Understanding the importance of the flag to our park and community, they generously offered their time and resources to help us. With the use of their boom lift, they were able to reach the top of the flagpole and make the necessary repairs, ensuring that our flag could once again fly high over Boyd Lake Shore Park.
This act of kindness is a testament to the Loveland Fire Department's unwavering commitment to serving our community. Their willingness to assist, even with tasks outside their usual duties, demonstrates the depth of their dedication to the people they protect. In times of emergency, we know we can count on them, but this gesture shows that they are also there for us in moments of need, no matter how small.

UPDATE from Monday Planning Commission Meeting on Monday 08/21:
First, thank you for the very supportive turnout. YOUR PRESENCE MADE AN IMPACT. And we owe thanks to Rick Parker (Third Filing), our HOA Board Treasurer, for his excellent delivery of our messaging. The Planning Commission, upon receiving the emails, letters, and verbal testimony at the Monday evening meeting, voted to not support the McWhinney Annexation plan for the property south of Frank road (reasons included the density request of the project, increased traffic issues, etc). This is in our favor. This result will be put on record and submitted to the City Council for their consideration.
This is just the beginning though, we still have hurdles to overcome.
